Disclaimer: Naturally, there are nuances of the program that we cannot fully cover and all final decisions rests with NDF and its designated administrators.
If you have questions about the state of Taiwan’s current start-up ecosystem, funding options for your business, or getting set-up in Taiwan, get in touch with us, eunice@11fleet.com.
- Initial investment of up to NTD 20,000,000 by NDF at the same terms as other investors.
- NDF will invest up to NTD 100,000,000 in subsequent rounds via subscription of its pro rata shares at the same terms as other investors in subsequent rounds of funding.
- NDF allows investors to call away their shares at 1.5x of NDF’s purchase price at any time prior to an exit.
- Currently, NTD 2,000,000,000 (approximately 67m USD) is earmarked for this program. As of now, 57 companies have received a total of ~ NTD 700,000,000 ($21m USD) in funding, meaning ~ NTD 1,300,000,000 remains available ($46m USD remain).
- For foreign companies/entrepreneurs, NDF’s litmus test for a Taiwan company is having a Taiwan subsidiary (not a branch office and not a representative office), with an operations in Taiwan. NDF is open to investing and routinely invests in offshore domiciled companies.
- The requirements for the NDF investment scheme is dynamic and constantly changing, but I believe it is fair to say that it is evolving towards a more entrepreneurial friendly format.
